As I noted yesterday, James Carville had four suggestions for the administration. And I chose to note the one I felt was most important: Indict people.
Americans are furious that we're on the hook for Big Business due to all the bailouts. And now that they have their footing back, they respond by not increasing hiring?
Indicting the Big Business crooks would go a long way towards changing the public mood.
It's apparently too controversial a position for Matt Bai who writes 'about' Carville's column but reduces it to "Fire someone."
Bai apparently has ADD. That was only the first suggestion.
It was also the least controversial.
And that's why I don't waste my time with Matt Bai. He always chooses the most simplistic way to cover something. He reduces everything until it's bland and uninteresting.
He's a very bad writer.
And his bad writing repeatedly not only oversimplifies but also pushes America ever right-ward. I don't see that as an accident though I'm sure Matt Bai would insist he was of the left.
