Republicans/conservatives scratching their heads about Karl Rove’s unrelenting attacks against Donald Trump should acquaint themselves with the shared history of Rove and current DNC interim chair Donna Brazile. It’s an interesting read which also details how Republicans/conservative leaders share culpability for electing Barack Obama.
Recently one of those culpable, Sean Hannity, apologized for participating in one of several ‘destroy Hillary Clinton, help Barack Obama’ efforts. Such Republicans/conservatives, along with the lunatic “demographic destiny” writers of the left are responsible for the harm currently afflicting this country. They helped nominate and elect the Chicago flim-flam man. They deserve Hellish miseries for the harm they have done.
Karl Rove, as Donald Trump delights in pointing out, is also responsible for helping elect Barack Obama. That harm was not only in his alliance with Donna Brazile but also in Rove’s foolish belief in his own infallibility. Rove in 2006 boasted he had “the math” but his math did not add up to victory.
Okay, I was reading Jezebel because someone e-mailed it to me. Specifically some idiot in comments insisting that the "Queen of Jordan" episode really succeeds because it shows the damage Sarandon did to Frank. Susan Sarandon plays his former teacher who sexually assaulted him in school (eighth grade?) and went to prison for it. She gets out of prison. Which leads to talk about how groovy it is by various men on the show while Frank looks uncomfortable. But the commenter to Jezebel thought this was great because we saw how it had effected Frank's life.
How? At the end, the two of them are together. They're the reason Angie Jordan starts crying, seeing their "love."
That storyline was disgusting.
And, as a Black woman, let me be damn clear her, I'm so f**king sick of Tina Fey and her pretty White girls. Is Jezebel ever going to call out that?
Queen Latifah is pretty, she's also "big boned" to be kind about it. And in her episodes, she had nothing to do in terms of romance. Has any other big name guest star done more than one episode and not had a love affair?
We get Whoopi and she's not pretty. We get overweight Angie Jordan.
And we get all these skinny White girls who are supposed to be sexy. Like the unknown who played the comedy writer in "TGS Hates Women" or Jennifer Aniston.
Why is that we can't be sexy, why do we have to be overweight mammies on 30 Rock?
At what point does anyone notice that?
The show is also highly homophobic. From all the trashing of lesbians (verbal putdowns) to all the gay stereotypes Fey's forced off on America.
30 Rock is an offensive show.
