Tired of the racial double standard
If you're Black (I am) you may have noticed all the outrage certain White members of Congress expressed to the press today over a Black man (Allen West) calling a White woman (Debbie Wasserman Schultz) "vile." It was awful. It was offensive! And he said she wasn't a lady!
First off, West was responding to her attack on him.
Second of all, why is it the White majority in Congress only get outraged when a White person's feelings are hurt?
The Committee targeted whom? Black lawmakers. Along with Maxine, Charlie Rangel was targeted. There were others as well but Maxine and him were the most high profile.
And now I'm supposed to be joining in the chorus of "Bad Allen West! How dare you defend yourself!"
Not going to play that game and I'm getting damn tired of the double standard in Congress on race.
