That link is because it's Chris Hedges. I don't care for Wright. I read the interview thinking I might find something that would make me reconsider Wright. I found nothing. And his language, his thrusting his hips in a sermon to simulate sex, etc. would not have played in any Atlanta I church I ever visited. (And I think I've visted them all. My father was a deacon at our church so I was there most Sundays but in middle school and high school there were times I'd stay over at a friend's and go to church with her and her family.)
I really did want to see something in Wright to make me reconsider him.
And that honestly surprised me.
But, again, I didn't.
That doesn't justify Barack stabbing him in the back. Remember, Barack justified Wright's remarks. He didn't drop him until Wright called him something like a "typical politician." The immediate next day, Barack announced -- with Michelle at his side -- that he was disowning Wright.
